Another good news in these challenging times. A state-financed feature documentary 5 Dreamers and Horse by Aren Malakyan and Vahagn Khachatryan won the Perso Award at the international competition of the PerSo-Perugia Social Film Festival held in Italy.
The National Cinema Center of Armenia congratulates the film’s creative team, extending our best wishes for their continued success.
According to jury announcements for offering a glimpse into Armenian society portrayed through different generations, combining stylistic rigor and a captivating dramaturgical trajectory the film thus develops a narrative that is both ironic and affectionate towards humanity, capturing its realistic and imaginative aspects, achieving a desired contamination between testimonial and dreamlike levels through the possibilities of cinematic imagery.
The Jury in their statement commended the film for providing a glimpse into Armenian society portrayed through different generations. The film combines stylistic precision with an engaging narrative and develops a story which is both ironic and affectionate toward humanity. It captures both the realistic and imaginative facets of life, achieving a desired connection between reality and dream through the power of cinematic imagery.
