Jivan Avetisyan’s GATE TO HEAVEN film, which received state financial support, has been awarded as Best Feature Film at the Pomegranate Film Festival, held in Toronto on November 7-13, 2022.

Jivan Avetisyan’s GATE TO HEAVEN is his third full-length film on the Artsakh theme. It is a co-production between eight countries- Armenia, Lithuania, Germany, France, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Italy, USA.
Robert Sternvall, a German journalist, returns to Artsakh in 2016 to cover the war which has been reignited after a 22-year ceasefire. As a result of his journalistic investigation, Robert meets Sophia, a young opera singer…
