We are happy to inform that a feature film AMERIKATSI directed by Michael Goorjian won the Best Narrative Feature Film award at the Woodstock Film Festival. Moreover, Ghasem Ebrahimian won the Haskell Wexler award for the Best Cinematography.
Good news also comes from Hamburg Filmfest - among 100 films presented the film AMERIKATSI won Public Prize for the best film in the program. We congratulate the film's creative team and extend our best wishes for continued success.
The film tells the story of Charlie, a young Armenian who escaped the Armenian Genocide and found a shelter in the United States. His family was not so lucky. The story begins in 1947, as Charlie repatriates back to Armenia only to be greeted by the harsh reality of Soviet Communism.
