Kazakh Film Days were organized in Yerevan on the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Armenia, The opening ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. Bolat Imanbayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Armenia, and Mr. Artur Martirosyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of the Republic of Armenia.
In the frames of the event, film enthusiasts will have the chance to explore recent feature films by Kazakh filmmakers, which have garnered significant acclaim in recent years.
"The strong friendship of Armenia and Kazakhstan brought us together to this beautiful environment, and screenings of Kazakh films are a wonderful opportunity for the cinema-loving public and Armenian filmmakers. I sincerely hope that it will also serve as a basis for the deepening of cooperation between the filmmakers of the two countries and the creation of joint films," said Deputy Minister Artur Martirosyan, greeting the audience.
According to the Deputy Minister, the year 2024 was marked by numerous events carried out through mutual cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan. This year, Kazakhstan hosted the Armenian Culture Days, attended by the presidents of Armenia and Kazakhstan, along with coordinating ministers of the cultural sector. Kazakh art and cinema specialists also participated in the international seminars “The Images of Memory" and "SolidArt," held in Yerevan.
"Cultural cooperation continues to develop currently, encompassing nearly all areas of art. Film, theater, and music artists successfully collaborate on festival and competition platforms hosted in both countries. I am confident that joint events will continue in new formats, further advancing cultural cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan," said Artur Martirosyan.
H.E. Mr. Bolat Imanbayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Armenia, also gave a welcoming speech.
N.B. The Days of Kazakh Films in Yerevan were organized as part of the events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Armenia.
