On October 19-20, the Armenian Cinema Foundation, with support from the RA Ministry of Defense, organized special screenings of Anna Maksim Harutyunyan's film The Other Side of the Medal in several military units of Syunik region as part of a national cinema promotion.
Before the screenings, representatives from the Armenian Cinema Foundation gave a brief presentation on the history and founders of Armenian cinema. They also discussed the challenging process of making The Other Side of the Medal, highlighting the difficulties in creating the character of a popular athlete, how Anna Harutyunyan overcame these challenges, especially in mastering the Gyumri dialect.
The film, which tells the story of the life and sports triumph of Armenian sports heroine Nazik Avdalyan, was warmly received by both soldiers and officers. The military unit leaders expressed their desire for more screenings of such films, emphasizing that they serve as powerful examples of determination and a victorious spirit.
The film was produced with support from the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports.
