After the world premiere in Rotterdam, Luka feature by Jessica Woodworth had its Belgian premiere in the frames of the Ostend Film Festival on January 30.
The screening was attended by Geraldine Chaplin, Jonas Smulders, Sam Louwyck, Samvel Tadevosyan (main cast), film director Jessica Woodworth, general producer Peter Brosens, representatives of the Armenian Embassy in Belgium, director of the National Cinema Center of Armenia Shushanik Mirzakhanyan, film commissioner Melik Karapetyan.
It's worth mentioning that Armenia had both financial and creative contributions to the film as the film has received state financial support and an Armenian actor Samvel Tadevosyan has played one of the leading roles along with famous Hollywood co-stars Geraldine Chaplin and award-winning Jonas Smulders.
The shooting of the film took place in Sicily.
The film is a joint production of Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands and Bulgaria-Armenia. Angela Frangyan is the co-producer of the film on the Armenian side.
