In April 15-16 AURORA'S SUNRISE animation project (Bars Media Documentary Film Studio), financially supported by the National Cinema Center of Armenia, participated in "COMING SOON" pitching session for films in post-production, held within the E-Meeting Point Vilnius audiovisual industry event. Overall, 25 international film projects were presented to the attention of international film professionals.
AURORA’S SUNRISE animation project gained 2 awards: participation in the Sunny Side of the Doc film market including its adjacent post-production boutique and in the Cannes` Marche du Film market.
The National Cinema Center of Armenia congratulates the film's creative crew and wishes them new achievements.
AURORA’S SUNRISE documentary-animation project depicts the life story of Arshaluys Martikyan (Aurora Martikanyan), a survivor of the Armenian genocide, an Armenian American author and actress.
The film is produced in association with Zoryan Institute and is a joint productionn between Armenia (Bars Media), Germany (Gebrueder Beetz Filmproduktion) and Lithuania (Artbox Laisvalaikio Klubas). The film’s animation is performed by Armenian "On-Off" and Lithuanian "Meinardas" animation studios.
The film received Eurimages financial support and is to be released in 2021.
