Michael A. Goorjian, director and leading actor of the state-financed feature Amerikatsi, was honored with the Best Actor Award at the 20th Salento International Film Festival. The film was included in the competition program of the 20th edition of the Salento International Film Festival, held from September 18-24 in Tricase, Italy. The film was screened in the Throne Room of Palazzo Gallone and was warmly received by the audience.
Salento International Film Festival is an anticipated event both for cinema enthusiasts and professionals and serves as a collaboration hub for industry professionals, talents and producers.
The National Cinema Center of Armenia has been collaborating with the Salento International Film Festival for nearly a decade. The festival organizers include Armenian films in their programs almost every year. This year, a photo exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Armenian cinema took place in Palazzo Gallone with the opening ceremony attended by the Mayor of Tricase, Mr. Antonio di Donno.
